Default C6 Vented Hood Victory Red

I have a C6 hood fitted with the Z-28 Camaro vent for sale. This hood will fit any C6, Z06, EXCEPT the ZR1. The paint on this hood is perfect. Let me say that again - the paint on this hood is PERFECT.
It was re-clear coated and professionally hand rubbed, polished before the vent was installed. The vent was positioned to help with heat soak over the MAF/IAT. It was not just a guess and thrown on.
This is a perfect fit and match for a Victory Red C6. I am pricing the hood at $700, which doesn't cover the cost of the paint and the vent, selling at a loss.
Local sale in Long Island NY preferred. I recently purchased this item from a forum member and spent over $530 for shipping and packing. I decided to go in a different direction. I have the shipping/ packing materials, the custom made box measures 60 x 72 x 12, so the item can be shipped at the purchaser's expense.
Trumpcard , Inc. delivered it to me. It is already packaged and ready to go.
I am unable to post pictures at this time. I forward pics to anyone who wishes via IM or email, just let me know. Anyone should be able to click on my albums and looks at pictures of the hood.
I can be reached at 631-948-0219.

Did you return to oem, or did you go aftermarket. If aftermarket, how was fitment and quality?
I've debated both cutting the hood like this as well as buying and can't pull trigger on either lol
Just looking for insight.
Thanks john

If that vent wasn't black and carbon fiber or hydro-carbon I'd be all over that. How's it do in the rain? How wet does the engine get?

It sounds like OP hasn't installed his hood so I'll answer the water question.

I have the same vent on my hood and water isn't an issue. I power wash the hood as normal with no issues. Drive in down pouring rain with no issue. Some water gets in there, but certainly nothing to worry about... at least in my experience.

Here is is the same vent on my car if it helps anyone visualize.

I have an aftermarket hood that I had installed 6 years ago or so. Fitment is pretty good, but not perfect. I had my original hood repainted at that time, then had it in my garage all this time until earlier this year, when Steve bought it, had the vent added, had additional clear installed, then had sanded and rubbed. It came out perfect and had it on his supercharged C6 before selling the car, but he pulled the hood as the buyer wanted everything stock, and sold the vented hood to the OP (I'm guessing).

THe fitment for OEM hoods are always great, whereas aftermarket hoods seem to always need adjustments and sometimes are a compromise. If perfect fitment is a priority, I'd stay stock...and this hood would be a perfect option

I did not instal the hood. I decided to stay stock. I like the look of my underhood shroud and generally keep my cars as close to stock as reasonable. I do love the hood though and will just keep it if I can't sell it. It is a beautiful piece and belongs on a car instead of in my garage attic.

Here's a free bump for ya since I love the look of this hood. The shipping is a back breaker on this deal, it could be as much as the hood. Wish I had it. I too have a custom under hood insulation panel and not sure how to get around having the vents as well as keeping the blanket.

So how much for shipping then? I see the cost of materials on the craigslist ad but not an actual shipping price. Quote to 54130 for curiosity? Thanks.

I would have to check my records, but I think shipping from Az. to NY was around $300, I used TrumpCard, 973-242-2745, the box measurements are 69 x 11 x 62, weight 50lbs, I would be shipping from 11746.
