Can you post a picture of the wheels on your car?

How about instance thread deletion if not all of the required fields are filled? Would save a lot of trouble. Or an update to the form that allows you to post the for sale but you cannot submit unless the information is filled out legitimately?

seems simple to include your forum name and date written on a piece of paper visible in the pictures.

I would say your second question has no relevance. Anyone can sell anything for any reason(don't like the wheels, sold the car, needs the cash for emergency, etc). They don't have to justify that to you, and a scammer would just lie anyway. Proof of being in possession of the item would be nice though. And at $5200 this would have to be a local transaction, as I would never send that kind of money to a private party over the internet or through my bank.

His first pic is from wheelsboutique.com, and the car can be seen here: http://wheelsboutique.com/gallery/ch...1-on-HRE-RC100

Wheels Boutique is located in Florida, so this seller seems legit so far.

It has relevance. Every thing up for sale has a reason.

You have never ask someone why they were selling something you were buying?

I find it odd to pay that kind of money for a set of wheels only to say after 100 miles of driving, want to sell them.

"scammer would just lie anyway". Does not say I have to believe the answer.

We all have opinions on everything like yours about my "why" question. Why did you feel it necessary to tell me that unsolicited feedback?

I was simply posting my IM to those who were considering making this purchase. I have no interest spending $5k on a set of wheels.

Cheers!!!!

i dont believe it is legit

i went to his profile and google image searched the pics and they are listed as the white zr1 that was a wheels botique photo shoot car
none of the other pictures have any relative history. (through google image)
the listing (judging by the font) has been copied and pasted from one page to another........and not to mention, if you have 5,000 worth of ANYTHING for sale, you better be trolling your notifications seeing whats being posted or asked about your listing. this guy, has said NOTHING

its crap as far as im concerned

I actually would take it as rude to be asked why I'm selling something. If it's for sale, I don't want or need it. Simple as that. There are other questions to ask, for instance in this case you could ask if there are any defects or bends in the wheels, curb rash, rubbing issues, etc.

I felt the need to respond because I've been on the receiving end of a forum thread crapping on me and basically blackballing my sale. There is a simple and correct way to deal with a suspected scammer; you just report the thread to a moderator or admin. Let the mods ask the seller for proof of possession or other verification.

That's the last post I'm gonna make here.

The wheels have 100 miles on them. How many defects, bends or curb rash can one rack up in 100 miles?

For $5k they should be perfect.

How would they know what size tire would be mounted for rubbing issues?

In my on-line sales, I take clear and up close pictures of what I am selling .... even the imperfections.

Well thank GOD.. Its a F***ing shady post PERIOD!! I would much rather be called an ******* for calling someone out and potentially saving another forum member from getting rooked than take his side against long term members who have seen this over and over again.
