For those asking the length of the end end of the tail pipe that accepts the tip is around 1.5” And the OD of the pipe is 2.5”

I could care less about the drone, my wife would greatly appreciate the house not shaking when I start it and idle for 5min and pull out the garage.

and there it is.... The "hate".. Have you owned the Akra's? Have you had them on your car? Or are you just spouting off an opinion because you "heard" it on the internet?

It is a FACT that the Akra's are the lightest catback for our cars. They sound great open/closed. There is "some" drone @ or around 2500 rpm.. Nothing overbearing.

I have ran B&B fusions, Corsa and I prefer the Akra's over all of them. that's coming from a guy who have ran a few different systems. NOT just an opinion.

Regarding w/o tips... that would be a tough one... As a comparison, I paid $1700 for my Akra exhaust. Sold my Fusions for $1200 so I have only $500 in these. Money well spent imo.

If you don't like the drone then close the valves. It's that simple.

I've owned many exhaust systems on a C6Z and akras didn't sound much better than the original oem system prior to 2011. A boring system that looks great and drones like crazy when open. Corsa makes a great system you aren't missing anything unless you want a deeper note that doesn't scream at WOT.

With the many systems I've tried Corsa is the only system that actually moves the sound to the rear of the vehicle which helps reduce drone. On my hci s/c setup Corsa drone is in between OEM open and closed. 1,800-2,000rpm becomes a place of pleasure not annoyance. And it's still louder at idle and wot vs oem.

I would trade my Corsa for fusions or akra in a heartbeat.

Corsas sell in seconds so get this akra setup the owner takes care of his toys and this system is barely used. Exhausts really are a matter of preference.
