Predator LS3 Tune
Just installed the Predator LS3 performance tune. Reset average mpg and noted avaerage mpg climbing to 17+ mpg at my normal cruising speed (40 -45 mph in 4th gear). My previous long term average was 15.8. It seems like a definite mpg improvement is underway. Too early to tell a performance difference. NIce to get rid of the CAGS without using the eliminator.

How do you like the added power gains?

awesome man!!!
just think of the gains you'll get when you do some data logs and get your fueling adjusted correctly... and/or even go for a custom tune for even more giddy-up!!!

I adjusted the fuel trims today. Pretty straight forward. Log the data. Analyze with DSLogredux. Modify tune and go. I haven't really gotten on the car with the updated tun, but it seems to drive and shift smooother.

It's really hard to tell when there is a performance improvement in the LS3. I got on it ba little today and broke the rear end loose at about 50 mph shifting from first to second. Strange thing is I still had the traction control on. I've gotten rubber before sifting from first to second, but this was breaking it loose. Big difference.
I am at about 10k miles now. It's hard to tell if this is the tune, the engine being broken in better or a combination of the two. In either case, you gotta love the LS3.

after you make adjustments to the tune, or even install a comlpletely new/custom tune, it takes a good 100-150 miles for the car to really wake up after the changes were made/installed...

for the O2's, you'll have to get a custom CMR tune created in order to have the trouble codes disabled - you can not do that through the predator unit itself. that functionality was removed due to EPA regulations...
but as I said, it can be handled via a custom tune, no problem.

yes... you'd get a predator for the vehicle you intend to tune... and you can just install the canned preset tune and be on your way... or, you can do some data logs and tweak/adjust the tune to get it dialed in a little better for a little better performance...
and/or then you can go for a custom tune, to get even more performance over and above the canned preset tunes...
feel free to contact me for custom tunes and to get more giddy-up!!... ;-)
