Stock 08 ls3 manual with npp just made 401, 404, and 397rwhp. It has 5000 miles on it. Thats about 460 crack which is awesome. It was also about 40 degrees out.

Dyno numbers can vary greatly depending on the testing criteria. The correction can be raw, SAE, STD, etc. When I dynoed my bone stock 08 Vette, it made 393 rwhp SAE and is in line with the publihed 436 HP SAE since the Vette drivetrain is efficient. After tuning, that went up to 407 rwhp SAE and gained 20 ft-lbs of torque.

A dyno operator can "adjust or manipulate" the numbers to what you like! Some of the numbers listed here appear to "adjusted or manipulated".

My tuner figures 18-20% loss to rear wheels. 400 hp LS2 should be around 320 rear wheel hp.

That's the same numbers my 2010 gs manual had at darn close to the same mileage.

Had my 08 dynoed a month ago. Mine was 373 RWHP - did 3 pulls.

Other than a computer tune and cold air intake, I haven't done much to mine yet. That will change soon....waiting for a 3600 stall and I just got my drag radials and wheels yesterday. I can't wait til March when the track opens. My best ET has been 11.8 so far.

What do you mean by computer tune, "brand please" hand tuner or done by someone? 2) what was your mph and 60 ft. on that 11.8 run? 3) do you have a 160* stat? Thanks

PS: I am doing drag radials too and thinking of doing a Yank 3600 converter also.

Hey All ...

My stock 14k mile 05 Z51 manual is going in the shop at PCMforLess of NC on 10/22 for a serious upgrade. Don't yet know a baseline that we're starting with, (will know that Monday), but we're expecting to produce between 460 and 480 RWHP depending on the baseline we start with. The mods include the following: Kooks from the heads to the stock exhaust, fully ported w/triple angle valve job LS2 heads w/new dbl springs, etc. etc., .640 degree lift 235-243 cam, stock intake and Snake Charmer cold air intake. I'll let ya all know how close we get to our goal when I get it back on the following Friday....Yeah! And all you ZO6 boys forgetaboutit!!!!!

Since this seems to be a mixed discussion for LS2 and LS3 my buddy's LS3 dynoed at 427hp with only LTs on a dynojet. I was shocked

Ill chime to this since the car is still stock.

05 A4 Z51, dynoed 350/342 SAE with stock wheels on a DJ

few months later, still stock, different DJ with heavier HRE wheels and taller/wider tires, it dynoed 342/339 SAE.

best qtr mile was 12.51 @ 111.9 with a 8.0@89.99 eigth and a 1.94 60 foot respectively. full weight of 3420lbs with me in car 1SB optioned.

Stock airfilter, tune, everything. I plan to make it a record contender when it's in my garage in a few months.

I'm planning on buying a 07 C6, but reading dyno numbers of LS3's make me want one so bad
I mean seriously, 420-430whp with boltons is just freaking awesome, that's very close to Z06's Numbers.

Its mostly because of the heads. Add LS3 heads & your laughing, you can pick them up $600+ range, then intake around $250 with injectors and rail, one day of modding.

While ur in there you can go LS7 cam too if you want, the 0.2 in displacement doesn't make the extra hp, might add a bit of torque though, I"m boosted so I didn't mind.

Got my 2007 for a good deal A6 LS2, took it apart, heads/zr1 cam, blower, and converted it to an M6 while I was at it all at the same time and added LTs, at that point LS2/3 doesn't make much difference.
