I tried to top out the car and noticed it has a speed limiter, that's why I ordered a Diablosport, but when looking into modify parameters I see that it still has a 186mph limiter, is it still active with the Diablo Performance tune? I'd set it to off....

Ive never met a C6 that reaches the stock limiter.
You can turn it off, yes.

We dont turn it off in the tunes as it since most Vettes will reach their gearing/aeor limit before the PCM speed limit.

Thanks

Mike: I've got a 2012 Z06 and just want to tune it and put the programmer away until I need it again. What is the best option for me? I looked at the trinity, but it seems like it has way more than I need. I'm putting a cold air intake and B&B exhaust on it. Thanks for the help!!

inTune

Part number I-1000, supports all 99-12 vettes, and will wake your Z06 up big time.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks

Just wanted to add that the can tune I put on my Z06 really woke up the beast in it. I have been running it for the past 6 months with zero problems. All I have done is load the tune and forget about it. I am going to create a log just to see what the injector slope looks like. Mike I was wondering if the engine will run richer with alcohol free gas. Thanks again for a great product.

only way to know how YOUR specific vehicle is going to run is to data log it...

I added the TCM Support for Firm Shift today and it works well on my C6. BTW, you Corvette should 'chirp' the tires into second without the diablo. if it doesn't, something is really wrong...

We offer the inTune or the Trinity for your model.

Both offer TCM support, and the paddle shifting is much improved with the tunes for sure.

Thanks

could be a newer calibration.

i'd suggest making sure the tool is updated to the latest releases, then try again, if not, it will save a copy of the stock tune and then you can send that to us so we can add support for it.

Thanks

If it was sitting in someones shelf for a little while, its entirely possible that it could use an update, yes.

We run into new/unsupported GM calibrations on a daily basis, so we update the tools (weekly) to keep up with what we run into in the field...

Thanks

Do you guys have dyno graphs for the Z06 tune? If it is really waking up the engine, it must be changing the low RPM torque line quite a bit, and I'd love to see it Or, is it just the throttle mapping?

Actually, I found this post:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-s...une-gains.html

Here, the 07 Z06 is mentioned to have gained 25whp. Yet, on DiabloSport web site, Z06 is listed as gaining 20 hp/tq, which is lower than 25 whp/tq. Why is it listed different than what your own dyno graph suggests? Did you guys tame the tune a bit since 2007?

when our marketing/sales guys are putting those numbers together, we err on the side of caution.

is it reasonable to expect that EVERY LS7 that loads this tune will gain 25 rwhp? No, not likely.
Is 20 rwhp more realistic out in the world, away from our dyno, yes, absolutely.

Bottom line, you can see on this car it picked up 25 rwhp, and solid torque gains across the rpm range, which is the key to a good tune

Thanks

Sounds good to me The web site gives the numbers in crank HP, though, right? The difference looked too big to me and wanted to ask.

Nope, crank HP is a made up number once the engine is bolted to a chassis, any numbers we provide are at the rear wheels as measured on our SuperFlow chassis dyno

I didn't know that! You guys say "Tune HP" and "Tune TQ" in the results table. HP and TQ are usually considered measured at the crank unless you mention it is measured at the wheel. Regardless 20+whp from a very reliable canned tune is sweet.
