Pulling codes from the DIC
I have a couple C5's, this 2011 GS Callaway SC606 is my first C6. Is there a DIC soft key combo that lets me pull and read SES/Check Eng codes
Thanks In advance

To make you pay to find out the real meaning of the SES light? My first guess
You need a special OBDII reader or a software program like EFILive or HPTuners to read the codes. Pep Boys might give you a free reading in the hopes that you'll let them fix the issue.
I'd read it for you but Oregon is such a long butt crushing drive from here!

Grab yourself an ELM 327 OBDII scanner from eBay. They work with your smartphone and an app called Torque to not only pull and research codes, but also monitor in real time almost any parameter that the computer has. The scanner is only $20 shipped and is bluetooth so no cords required. The lite version of Torque is free.

There is one app that claims to read from the ELM327, called Nova Scan, but it costs $39.99. They say it may work with the ELM327 but suggest you buy their transmitter for $140 + $30 S&H.
The places selling the ELM327 on e-Bay sell the unit with either a USB cable or a bluetooth wireless, and include a CD. No mention of being able to download to an iPhone or which app would be needed. Seems to only be available to use on a laptop.
Seems like a nice option, but can't seem to put all the pieces together.

I also wonder how "universal" the OBDII connectors are, that the ELM327 is only available in one shape. I have a nice scanner from back in the OBDI days, and had 3 different cables just to scan Corvettes because the connectors were not standardized in those days. I'd hate to invest in this thing and find out it doesn't fit in so many cars, like the ones I own!
PS - Forget about this question. I've read enough about this to believe the OBDII connector is a standard shape that every car manufacturer uses.

I bought an AutoXRay EZ-Scan 6000 over 10 years ago. So long ago, the cable had a serial DB9 connector on it. New PCs don't even have serial ports anymore. So, I invested $10.79 for a Serial / USB adapter, including a CD with driver file, upgraded the software from 4.02 (my last update in 2003) to 4.07, and now essentially have a brand new scanner. The bluetooth / iPhone sounded cool, but I don't believe it really exists at this point. I'll have to live with cables and adapters.
