I have a autocal tune done by ECS on my 06 c6 a6. I like the tcm tune but i want to dyno tune my car because of a lean condition with my longtube headers. I also have a spinmonster ported fast going in the next week or so. I think you can only go so far with datalogging and email tunes before a dyno tune is called for.

The tuners locally(Milwaukee) all use hp tuners. Is it possible to tune the ECM with hp tuners(after reinstalling factory tune) and keep the efi live tuned Tcm? Or is it possible to hp tuner the ECM and use a diablo in tune on the Tcm only. I know there are a ton of tcm adjustments with either tuning program. It's my daily driver and heard horror stories of improperly tuned 6L80E dieing a premature death. I'm a bit cautious to have a local shop tune the Tcm if they havent tuned many. Thanks

Your tuner should have no problem making adjustments to the ECM without touching the TCM.
