**Help** Check engine light assistnace - MissFire??!
Alright guys, I am having some weird behavior from the beast the past couple of days.
Behavior:
-Idles like it's Misfiring
-While driving it stumbles, and sounds horrible
-Coolant Temp is not going over 165 degrees
Codes:
P0030 - Heated Oxygen Sensor (H02S) Heater Control Circuit Bank 1 sensor 1
P0053 - Heater Resistance Bank 1 Sensor 1 (PCM)
P0132- Heated Oxygen Sensor (H02S) Circuit High Voltage Bank 1 sensor 1
P0135 - Heated Oxygen Sensor (H02S) Heater Performance Bank 1 Sensor 1
P0137 - Heated Oxygen Sensor (H02S) Circuit Low Voltage
P0172 - Fuel Trim System Rich Bank 1
P0300 - Engine Misfire Detected
After I put about 5 miles on the car it acts PERFECT, and the coolant temp goes right back to 185 degrees as it should...... What is the deal?
Mods: Headers (installed for about 10 months now), 165 degree thermostat
THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!

awesome - Thanks for the advice guys! I will order the O2 that is pre cat, and get it installed.
Any reason why it would just clear up after driving it for a bit, and does the fuel trim depend on this O2 for fuel measurements?
Thanks!

Just a shot in the dark.
And yes--your fuel trims are almost exclusively controlled by your front 02 sensors. The computer constantly adds/removes fuel based on the reading received from the 02 sensors.

02 sensors are heated and rely on heat to function correctly. I don't know a great deal about them but maybe the heater inside is broken? After the motor warms up and enough hot exhaust gases flow over the sensor, it starts to work normally?

Does anyone have any suggestions on what is the best O2 sensor to pick up?

What I assume is happening:
Heater circuit is dead, so it trips heater code. Since it can't heat up, it's just showing high voltage, hence that code. High voltage tells the PCM to pull fuel. It keeps pulling fuel to the point that the trims max on that bank at -25%, so it throws Bank Rich. It is running that bank extremely lean, which is likely causing the misfires.
It clears up after a little while because natural exhaust heat warms the sensor enough to sort of operate. If a new sensor doesn't fix it, you've got a wiring issue.

Is it comment to burn out O2 sensors with our cars?

OK - I was able to get my hands on a o2 sensor, and... wait for it... wait for it.....
FIXED THE ISSUE!
Something so simple made my car run like it was on 4 cylinders! Thanks everyone for your help, time, and consideration!

And people wonder why their cars run like crap when they get doo doo 02 extensions for header installs. OEM connectors or nothing in my opinion.
Anyway, glad to hear that solved the problem.
