2012 coupe

I understand the tune is different for each gear set you have as far as the paddle shifters goes. I want to change my gear set from 2.59 to a 2.79 set. I can get the whole carrier complete for around $600. if I do change it, can I just was the tun from a 2012 base auto 6 speed with a 2.73 gear and load it into the computer and that will take care of the different paddle shift points between the 2.59 and 2.73 gear set?

HPtuners has a tire/gear wizard. Put in old ratio, put in new, it should do the rest

Dealer probably can't do it. They load tunes from your vin, and can't do custom stuff. They can't just load a different gear ratio like that.

Find someone with HP tuners. Its 3-4 clicks, and done.
