Default seat belt problem

once in a while i get an srs light on the dash and it clears itself...
i hooked up the tech2 and there are no codes present..but when i look at the data for the driver and passenger seat belts.... the driver shows unbuckled with me sitting in it unbuckled..

when i look at the data for the passenger under the supplemental restraint screen ... theres a line called

passenger seat belt switch --- not present

on another screen it shows passenger seat belt--- buckled

even though its not buckled

im thinking that the srs light on the dash is being caused by no passenger being in the seat but the buckle showing as buckled and no switch present.. im not sure

also...is there a light somewhere in the cabin that lights up saying passenger airbag deactivated or something to that effect when theres no one sitting in the passenger seat.

has anyone else had this problem with their seatbelts... i tried buckling and unbuckling the belt abunch of times... but nothing changes the sthe buckled status in the data view... or the missing switch in the supp rest system screen
