ecu died in middle of tune twice !!!!
hello guys,
so I have a 2005 c6 corvette. I bought the car two years ago and my only problem is that whenever I go to tune my car hp tuner will not scan or read for several times then it will connect to the computer and sometimes it gets disconnected suddenly and this problem caused me two ecu's when it will just get disconnected all the sudden in the middle of uploading a tune to the ECU!
anybody have an idea of what could cause this problem?

an electrician told me that it may be because of a bad control body computer but I'm not sure
**A little background about the vette I purchased it as A4 and converted it to 6M by 2007 donor vette so I did some manipulating to get the car start. kept it in a park so it can start with no issues since then, the car is also boosted with Magnuson tvs2300 if that helps to diagnose the problem

Hello, you can reach our support guys through the contact tab on our website https://support.hptuners.com/index.php?/Tickets/Submit , or with a direct email to support@hptuners.com
There are a few different things that could have caused this issue such as low voltage, once they get a look at some files they will be able to determine what the issue was.

Being you bought is used and it was previously tuned--and supercharged-- It may be that the previous tuner used a NON stock or "custom operationg system" tune to tune it for the boost----
If they used a custom operating system ( most likely a speed desnsity 2 bar tune) only the originator of the tune can open it up and change change things----This is why it locks up in the middle of a read or flash because the stock OS system doeas not match your cuatom OS system
If there is any way you can dind out from the previous owner what type of tune they used thThere are several
The stock open loop/closed loop tune--------An OLSD tune--or a SD tune all of these use the stock OS system
However is they used a custom OS system designed specifically for your application there are many many of them My guess if you have street boost 6 PSI ish it wou;d be a 2 bar SD tune
ALSO There are some other things that can interfer with reading or writing ANY tune
1 NON stock stereo's
2 Aftermarket alarms
3 Aftermarket remote start systems
To bypass these try pulling ALL the fuses to these devices AND under the dash on the OBD2 port Make sure there are NO pigtailed wires connected to the "purple wire" dis connect this as well then try reading it again
