Default Cooling fan settings for aftermarket pwm fans

I'm running an 06 Z with eforce and it still gets pretty hot in traffic with the A/C on.

I'd like to get the max cooling I can from the D3 fans.

I know that 90% maximum is suggested from reading past threads for the oem fans maybe to prevent the oem connector getting hot and melting?
If we are using the spal extreme duty through a relay (and a voltage booster like mine) then why not 100%? Seems like wasted energy.

You can do 100% on the D3 setup

Yeah the factory connector and PWM controller won't handle 100% for long on the stock setup

Thanks for confirming that. Now its time to work on fans with A/C on.
The table has the fans at 20 and 30% until over 2k kpa (not sure what kpa is but ill find out) anyway after 7 minutes running a/c my tech 2 shows only about 1250kpa. That means that things get pretty hot before the fans come up. Shouldnt the fans go to max whenever the a/c is on? I dont even know if it gets up to over 2000 kpa. Aftermarket fan kits just kick on full triggered by a/c.
The car stays at 210 or below in traffic until the a/c is turned on then it is up to 240 or more till i shut off the a/c. . All this from a little eforce heat exchanger?

kpa is pressure. It's pressure of the high pressure side of the AC system. 1250kpa is about 180psi which is pretty normal for AC pressures. It isn't temperature.

No the fans shouldn't go to max just because the AC is on. There's no reason to. If the coolant is cool enough and the AC system is working then no reason to move more air then you have to

Most people leave the AC fan table alone and just adjust the ECT one. If the fans are at 100% and it's still getting to 240* then the AC fan table isn't going to make any difference.

Basically the ECM is always looking at fan % requested based on AC pressure and fan % requested based on engine coolant temp. Whichever % is higher is the one it uses, so just set the fans to go wide open at 210 or whatever and you should be fine. If that still doesn't keep it cool then something else is going on
