Theftlock on nav radio

Everyone says you need a Tech2 to override the 'Theftlock'. Tech2 is a brand name for a scanner. Is there a procedure for getting rid of 'Theftlock' using a SnapOn scanner?

A GM Tech II needs to be used to do the VIN relearn process.

I don't know if Snap On or other scanners have that ability.

Genesys EVO, nor the SnapOn would do the trick. Had to be a Tech2 scanner from 'the General' I successfully married the Nav unit.
