Hi, I recently purchased a z06 that was tuned with an airaid cold air intake, heads, and cam. The seller removed the airaid intake prior to the sale and put the stock intake back on. I am wondering if it is safe to run the car with the stock intake even though it is tuned for an aftermarket system. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Should be taken to a reputable tuner. In addition to the recent change, the odds of a good first tune are slim.

I have the receipt from the shop that did the initial mods and it was done by a reputable tuner. The car seems to run fine and I haven't gotten any CELs. I was curious because the Airaid does not require a tune for install, so it seems to make sense that removing it after a tune shouldn't affect anything either. I'm still new to these cars, but I thought the computer would adjust for the change in airflow.

I think Dcasole has correctly answered your question about being "safe". But on a heads and cam 427, you might want to consider more as discussed by one of this forum's premier tuners in the below thread.
