Default rear o2 and emission

hello,

i have emissions soon and was wondering if I will pass emissions if my rear o2/heater cat say N/A. My tuner removed my rear o2 when installing my exhaust system with high flow cats.

If the codes are disabled then it won't be an issue (assuming you're talking about the OBD test) You can literally remove every piece of emissions equipment on the car and still pass the OBD test if all the codes are disabled.

This is not always true. It depends on which "test" they run. Many states are moving to the newer (CA) standard and grabbing more data such as querying the In-Use rate-based monitors, which will certainly NOT pass if the hardware isn't present. Simply turning off the MIL does not mean it passes.

I would also set the Cat overtemp protection system to read "no" in your fuel tables
AND in the diagnostic section also set the diagnostic testing for the cats to read "disabled" in the tables reading ----- Catalyst testing----Post 02 testing---and Closed loop testing---

If your tuner is in same area as you they will for sure know if you will pass local emissions with their tune.

Yup. Here in TX, when they do the ODBII test and you have your O2 sensors removed and a tune, the reading could come up as Not Ready on the inspection report. Good thing is that here we are allowed to have one Not Ready code and still pass. If you search around for a post by Subfloor, he gets into a little more detail on how to get around this.
