When mine was acting up, it was throwing a bunch of codes including P0641, U1024, U1017, U1040, U1000, C0242, P2125, P2127, and P2138. And no, I never had a dead battery or low voltage battery or loss of electrical power.

Whenever it happened, it would stay in reduced engine power / service traction system mode until you turn it off and restart it. It was intermittent, but progressively became more and more frequent until it was doing it all the time. Sometimes it would happen when starting the car, sometimes it would hit when I was going down the highway with cruise on, sometimes it would strike when I was merging onto the highway at over 5K rpms, sometimes it would strike when I had it in park with the engine idling, and sometimes it would strike when I was casually driving through my subdivision at around 25mph.

Yes, 21st Century is GM authorized dealer to warranty work under the extended protection plan.

P0641 is related to the 5v reference voltage for the following:
manifold absolute pressure sensor (MAP)
engine oil pressure (EOP)
fuel tank pressure sensor (FTP)
air conditioning refrigerant pressure sensor (A/C)
accelerator pedal position sensor 2 (APP)

P0641 is set when a voltage out of tolerance is detected on the reference signal. P2125,P2127 and P2138 or related to the APP sensor 2 and are only active if P0641 is not set. C0242 is just saying that the traction control systems is unable to operate. U1000 and the other codes are loss of signal from the modules. Have they checked the voltage at the other modules?

I've had the "reduce engine power" happen to me twice, only when I push it beyond around 6K rpms, and it doesn't happen all the time. But once I disconnect the battery for a minute or two, it's all back to normal. I've been out of town recently and haven't had the chance to bring to A&A Corvette for a checkup.

Jeremy: Still happening??

UDRIVESLOW: I'm in So Cal., where is your dealer located?

Ahhhh Hah ! I just knew if you kept using Midnite's secret gas formula something bad would happen. You can't mix Everclear with Mad Dog 20/20.

I sure wish 21st or RPM would get the darn LS2 edit software for the '06. This is driving me bonkers.

Struck again yesterday after 2 weeks of being fine... I see that the A/C refrigerant sensor is on the 5volt ref. I have had problems with my A/C blowing hot more than usual lately... I've seen where others with this problem had systems that were evacuated down to 1.1lbs from 1.4lbs... and it fixed the problem... I wonder...

Good grief ! The more '05 problems I see posted on this forum, the happier I am that I traded for an '06. I'm beginning to think that the '05 gremlins are going to be problematic. And now, back to the second game.

My 2006 has done something similar after washing on two different occations. Upon acceleration, it cuts out, almost feels like the rev limiter, but at lower RPM's - anyone else?

I think y'all are using the wrong tooth paste or deoderant. Something anyway ! Over 6k on 3mo old A6 and drive it daily. Could this be the problem ?
