Default Homelink Visor

Before I order a homelink visor, is the wiring for the homelink already in place for an 06 C6 that does not have the device?

You should have power for the vanity mirrow.

Thanks, but is the wiring there? I just want to plug in the visor and not need to butcher up wires.

To get Home Link option don't you have to get the 1SB option package which is HUD and alot of other items you might not want?

The visor is $209 from Fred Beans, but I just found one off a totaled 06 C6.

The HomeLink runs off the power for the vanity morror. You can take one out of any car that came with one and cut the visor up. By the time you pay someone to put the visor back togethor, you may as well buy the visor with it in it. Also, the company that makes the visor did not make it so that you could add HomeLink, so you have to cut the thing up. JCI makes the HomeLInk, but not the visor.

I am going to install the entire visor, but does the wire coming out of the visor have a plug or must you splice into an existing wire?

On my C5, you just had to unscrew the visor and unplug the vanity mirrow, put the new visor with the Homlink back on the same way.

I did this on my car, posted some time ago. Just plugs into the exact same plug the original visor uses. A true piece of cake!!!
