Stands for: bent air dam or broken air damn!
Cannot seem to keep from knocking the crap out of the air dam in the front. It has some flexability, but one bump to hard and it's history. Or at least part of it. I dislike these steep driveways in CA! And I am considering loweing another inch up front???
I am sure others suffer from the same if they drive it up or down driveways, over speed bumps etc. What the heck do other auto mfg co's put on the front of their cars that can handle a little abuse?

Two Solutions:
1) Raise the front
2) Park on the street

I just learned to live with it. I drive in and out at an angle and slowly. By the way, Chevy says the air dam is meant to flex when scrapping on driveways, etc., e.g., page 2-21 of the 06 manual states:
Front Air Dam
Your vehicle is equipped with a front air dam which has
minimal ground clearance.
Under normal operation, the air dam will occasionally
contact some road surfaces (speed bumps, driveway
ramps, etc.). This can be heard inside the vehicle as
a scraping noise. This is normal and does not indicate a
problem.
Use care when approaching bumps or objects on road
surfaces and avoid them when possible.
Maybe you're too eager to get in and out of your driveway!!
I managed to pop the plastic rivets out that hold the air dam in place at the ends of the center piece. Dealer replaced at no charge. No big deal, but my dealer is only three blocks from my office,. and I can go right past it on my way to work. Took just a few minutes
Just wait will the car in front of you clears an object in the road and you run over it. I tagged a dead animal and it took out the air damn along with all the brake ducting and part of the inner finder well. Fortunately it cost less than $150 for the body shop to fix
