Will these work on c6's with the c6z front end conversion?

I have tried for over an hour to get through and your answering machine keeps cutting in and your mailbox is full.
I purchased the Vararam from LAPD on 11/25/05.
The order number was 9491.
If you need additional information, you can contact me on 505-440-5675 or email me.
Thanks, Pat Salerno

I picked my car up today. Among other things I had the vararam installed. Not sure on performance yet, although I have a dyno sheet.

One comment though. It really is not a very good looking part. Looks almost unfinished, very close to being just too damn cheesy looking to leave on. It better perform that is all I have to say about the thing.

Believe it or not the C5 vararam was superior in the looks department.

I have to respectfully disagree. I have installed both a C5 and a C6 Vararam. I thought the C5 version was going to break into pieces while I was installing it, it seemed like very low quality plastic and I was afraid of getting cut by its sharp edges. Conversely, the C6 version is different plastic (the top part that you see and touch) that is MUCH thicker and feels like much higher quality. I'm sure I can take this on and off as many times as I like to service the filter without breaking it, I could not say that about the C5 version.

Here's a link to my write up and pics:

Well I am just primarily talking about how it looks after it is installed. I am sure it will perform properly, and it is thicker plastic than the C5 version. It just looks cheap and thrown together. Listen, guys from the C5 section know I am a vararam supporter and always have been.

I will give you an example. I took it to my cousin's house, he helped install my last vararam and is sort of my mentor when it comes to mechanical work. When he looked at the opening in the grill area he said, "Gary if it did not fit you should have just sent it back, you can't cut that plastic with a hacksaw and make it look right." See what I am talking about.

I will take some pics today and post so people can see what the final product looks like.

Patrick at vararam contacted me and he thinks I may have an old part. These guys have great customer service. I have decided not to post a pic, I have emailed a couple pics to Patrick.

That's great to hear. I always say, a company can have problems, it's how they handle them that make the difference. My vararam looks like a chevy emblem when you look through the grille, does yours?

I want to personally thank the guys at Vararam. Here is the story..
I ordered a system approx. 2 months ago from Corvettes of houston, the system had issues and Vararam has came through with a new system shipping out to me today.
Thanks and looking forward to receiving the new system and reporting my results of the install
Thanks Vararam

I agree, we have a great vararam rep here on the forum. He saw my post and told me to send him a pic. He says it is an old one and he will send a new style replacement.

My tuner called me today and said he would re-install the parts for free. So far so good.
