Default Why so many "bullets" questions"!

For those of you who are thinking of putting Bullets on your vettes, just go to a GTG or a meet and listen for yourself!
By asking people on the forum, you "will" get opinions on the subject, but hearing them in person is the best way!
I bought a set about 3 months ago without hearing them in person, and love the sound!!
Thanks,
George

Thank God for 1bdasvt. He's right on the mark. Finally, someone said what needs to be said. This forum has so many stupid questions (yes, STUPID) because they start out, "will I like blah, blah, blah". Who knows what you'll like, and how you hear or see something! Do YOU like Brahms or Led Zep? Do YOU like green or maroon? What does Varoooooom sound like when you see it in type?

Like he said, get your dead a$$ off of the computer and go to a Corvette club meet or gathering. Look, listen, and interact with others. You may find it not only enjoyable, but educating. When looking for pipes for my bike, I went to benefit rides and listened to others. When I heard what I liked, I complemented the owner and asked what he was running for pipes. Not only was he puffed-up over my compliment, he told me everything I wanted to know about his bike. Person-to-person. Hmmm, what a daring concept...

Rant completed. Thanks again 1bdasvt - you da man.

I agree with you on the ridiculous questions.
I look at the forum quite often and have learned a great deal from reading what other people experienced but when you see questions like how often do I change the oil and what RPM do I shift at you really have to wonder about the mentality of these people. Have they ever driven or maintained a vehicle before?

I guess I have to agree with you guys to a point...but there are all kinds of people on the forum which is good thing. That's why I love the fact I can read...so if I don't feel like reading the rest of the question....I don't. More importantly, if you think it's a dumb question, it's your right to think so but obviously whom ever posted most likely really wants some answers or opinions. I do agree that it is best to hear things like exhausts in person but give the guys some credit for wanting some opinions before they do that. Discpritve language can actually go a long way. If it didn't we wouldn't have this forum....We're all here hoping to learn more about this stuff and share what we have learned with others.

Oh yeah...and the bullets are awesome...bought them without hearing them in person and love them as well...lol

Heard the clip on Billy Boat's website that pushed me over the edge on the Bullets. However, comments on this forum made my mind up 80%. I've driven high performance cars for 35+ years, but this is my first Vette. I really enjoy this forum and have learned a lot that is Vette specific. I don't think you can call an honest question 'stupid.' I've had lots of shall we say very basic questions asked about flying fighters. I never consider them stupid if they are an honest attempt to learn something new.

Default Stupid Questions

They are only stupid when you already know the answer and if you have Bullets you already know the answer

The whole internet sound clip craze is nuts too. I can take three different recording of my car with the same exhaust, and they all sound WAY different depending on where I park the car, and where the microphone is. I've tried a few different exhausts on my car that made my ears bleed in person, but they sound great on my computer!
