I've seen mine a number of times. It usually stay on for a short time and go off.

Lately, I've been getting an "ABS" active handling message.

Default Active Handling message

I used to date a woman where I had to park outside when I was at her place. Every evening on the way home I would get message after about 30 seconds the message would disappear and the ding would alert me. I live near the ocean in San Diego and maybe it might be the humidity and temp combination. I have not seen the message since and I am not seeing her anymore either. Parking outside and temp and high humidity?

Good Luck and Via con Dios

I have had the same issue, and not necessarily related to cold weather. In this instance I do not think the phrase "warming up" is literal, but instead means the system is calibrating.

My 2005 does this on occasion and almost 50% of the time after washing it and making sharp turns as I leave a certain car wash bay. Based on when it occurs, my guess is the wet tires are slipping/scrubbing at slow speed at same time the system is doing it's system sensor check, which provides erroneous data, leaving it in a calibration mode until the condition clears.

Do you make sharp turns shortly after starting and driving off when it is probably calibrating? This is the only correlation I could make in my situation. In my case it does not impact the performance of the system so I mark it up to the nature of the beast.

Problem solved! I knew something was wrong! And I was right! NEVER GIVE UP! Even after 6 total days in the shop, after driving hundreds of miles and many hours, back and forth, many phone calls and arguments, even though 2 different dealerships and GM Technical assistance said my car was "doing exactly what it was supposed to do", I knew my car was not right. The culprit was a bad connection to my IAT sensor ( I should have checked that first -- it was telling me it was COLD ) I fixed the wire and the problem went away immediately! And hasn't come back! Apparently it gets some signal from the IAT. This has been a dissapointing experience with GM. Trying to convince GM of a problem is impossible! It would just be a lot better if they would tell you they don't know what the problem is, rather than tell you a lie! I am wondering what kind of readings or indications they were getting from this sensor, from their diagnostics. They seem to be totally lost (or maybe unconcerned) if their computer doesn't return any "codes". Anyway, thanks to all of you for your help and responses! I hope you enjoy your Corvette as much as I enjoy mine! GOD BLESS YOU!
