Default Tires again!

Ok, I have read & reread old posts about tires, but I still cannot find an solution.

I have 07 m6 z51, and I don't care if I have run flattire or not, I just want something for street that will hook up better than runflat. I like the runflat if it is above 60 deg.

And I read so much about how tire size effects the TC/AH?

Is it worth trying to get a wider tire on rim or just stay with stock size and try a stickier tire? I have read good things about the Nitto Invo's? But do they come in stock size for the C6?

You might try the BFG KDWII

It's a non-runflat and can be had in either the stock size or a plus zero size of 255's for the front and 295's for the back. These are faily decent tires, and should grip a little better.

i drove the runflat z51 17,000 miles and took them off for bfg drag radials. the key to traction even when cold out is 24lbs when cold and i am still not to the wear lines

I have the 295's on the back and the dry traction is amazing.

Default Falken 452's

I put these on a month ago on my 2005/A4 with 3.15 axle and it improved my traction quite a bit, however it still can set them a blaze from a dead stop. I don't think it has the tendency to break loose as bad on the 1-2 shift though. They ride better and are quieter. However I think there are some softer tread out there that would probably bite better.

I've gone through a few brands in my day. Never thought ANYTHING could hook my C6 once I put the blower on it. I finally broke down and went with what many recommend - Michelin Pilot Sport 2! I increased the size too, but in my opinion.... that didn't make a great deal of difference... but put some heat to these tires and they will bite unlike any other tire I've tried. Finally, this car can hook in 2nd if you really want it to. With any other tire, it would spin up to 4th.

The Nitto Invos hook well on my friends 06 Z w 490rwhp they have stock c6 sizes and 305 30 19 too I think the taller stock size may hook better, they are suposed to be very similar to the ps2's
