Rear Spoiler

Hi, this is my first post here at CF. I want to make my first simple mod to my black 05 C6. I want to replace the stock C6 rear spoiler with the taller Z06 spoiler. Can anyone here tell me how to go about removing the existing third brake light?

U need to remove the 2 inner tail lights. Then u will be able to reach inside and unscrew the bolts holding the spoiler down. Very easy. Just remember to connect the wire harness to the new light before u close things up.

Thank you very much. One more question please. I can buy the spoiler at my local Chevy dealer for $70. Is that all I need or is the light assembly also different on the Z06?

you will need to swap the light from yours to the new one. very easy mod and looks great.

Just be very careful not to drop the nut into the opening in the rear, very bad action, loosen nut with socket and then use your fingers to finish the job.
