only thing done to my car is
  • Exhaust
  • Diablo tune
  • CAI

An X pipe should give you a bit more over the standard H pipe. Might even give you a better sound.

I went with the X-pipe when I got my Borla cause it cost more money.

Seriously, I got it because it supposedly reduces the burbling and popping on decel. Still have some though. As far as the power goes, general concensus is that exhausts are mainly for sound, even though mfgs. say otherwise.

I agree with GotVett? The x-pipe will not give you any hp gains, but may add to overall air-flow performance a little. However, if you are considering adding headers in the foreseeable future, you may want to hold off buying an x-pipe now since the headers will require their own x-pipe design.

There was a post that showed an H-pipe cutaway and it had a very small opening in it. I mean REALLY small. If the X-pipe is more open, then it must do a better job. However - if the factory X-pipe is as poorly made as the H-pipe ..................
