Default Halltech whistle

I installed a Halltech Stinger in the Spring of '06 on my '06 LS2 and from day one during acceleration I could hear a whistle, as if there's an air leak somewhere. Tightening the hose clamps had no effect, and I made sure that the filter was properly positioned on the plenum. Any ideas?

I love that sound- my favorite thing about the Stinger...well, next to the surprisingly noticeable SOTP difference at speed.

In a parking garage, if you punch it briefly and then take your foot off the gas, you can really hear that sound for a moment.

Ever find the source of the whistle? My Killer Bee has a whistle too under heavy load but I have to have the top off to hear it. Guess my NPP covers it up some too.

Anyone else having a whistle with their stinger or killer bee....especially the killer bee since that is what I have? I could care less that it whistles under certain conditions but it would make me feel better if I'm not the only one (i.e. there's nothing wrong or out of the ordinary).

Had a Stinger on my 07 and YES it whistled too. Nothing wrong with it, just a result of filter construction and air being sucked in.

The throttle body whistles. The stock air box is so restrictive that it is impossible to hear it.

The new Venom™ brings ISO 5011 Certified airflow to the C6, which is 99.4% filtration efficiency, but does so with massive surface area with twice the filter media of the competition. There is a loss of 1 HP with this media, but we do have a 1/4 mile ultra low restriction filter for those that want that HP back.

The large Killer Bee™ filter is used on the new Venom (05-07 C6 LS2) sits low enough to avoid hot underhood air. There are several cold air solutions available for those not worried about water issues.

Halltech Killer Bee™ AAIS designed exclusively for the 2008 LS3, this induction system dynoed at 396 RWHP (465 HP) on the DynoJet Dyno with no tuning or other modifications. No cutting, no chance of hydrolock, no warranty issues, and 14 minute installation. ISO 5011 Certified Filtration.

Features

* Warranty Safe
* Ambient Air Induction System utilizes the stock NACA Ducting
* Easy Installation
* No Cutting or Hacking your new car
* +12 HP/11 ft. lbs torque without tuning
* Largest MAF Housing (103.5mm) in the industry
* Video Instructions
* Full Tech Support from Jim Hall
* Smoothbore High Temp Silicone Hose Connector
* ISO 5011 Certified (99.4% efficiency) Filter
* Velocity Stack Filter Flange design
* 1" MAF Insertion for High Flow vs. 2" stock
* High Temp Color Matched Bridges Available
* Katech Engine Development Approved

I love my Halltech air filter hanging off the end of my Maggie set up, now talk about whistle and whine.

I don't hear anything leaking out of my Stinger. The plastic air plenum seals so tight around the MAF sensor that I have to use a hair dryer to warm it up to install or remove it (and pry like crazy).
