c6 modified exhaust not sure which one to get
I own a 2006 coupe w/manual tranny.Need some advice out their about a cat back system. My desire is to get the sound as close to the 60's 70's sound of the muscle cars of the day.B&B Bullet and Mangnaflows magnapack systems interest me.Also have looked into the corsa extreme.I don't want anything that sounds"european" Also do you really need an X-pipe on an 06 or just keep the factory H and do these systems provide the as advertised horsepower rated on their product. Thanks to all in advance.FJL

Listen to the Borla Stinger. I've got a 'muscular' '67 427 Vette in the garage and the Stingers I installed on my '07 are as close as I could come to that old muscle car sound

I have a MagnaFlow, but sound is like women, we all like something different, so go listen to a couple and buy the one you like.
Also, headers will change the sound, so make sure you hear what you plan to buy.
There is no wrong answer........

I had the Borla Stingers w/x-pipe before I installed Kooks lts on my 07. Replaced with the Corsa Sports, the Borlas sounded super but were just a bit over the line with the lts. The Corsas do have that Euro sound and the B&B Bullits I have heard are the loudest. Try to listen to the different systems before putting out 1k plus for a system.
I did not notice any real performance increases with just the catback system. Now with the headers, cai, 160 stat, and dyno tune 30 ponies were found. Now I am just waiting for the brown truck to show up with Maggie. When does this madness end?

Borla stingers all the way. They sound awesome!!! I have them on my 2006 Z51. Borla also makes it as a GM Performance Part so you can even order it thru your dealer. PS - If you buy it thru the dealer you bought the carfrom, ask him for a parts discount. Worked for me!!

Hard to beat the flowmaster system for the price(under 400). I put one on a friends automatic 05 and it sounds good. Not very loud but it has a great tone and its drone friendly. I have Flomasters mufflers on 3 of my vehichles right now and they are loud! For some reason the Flowmaster system on the c6 does not have the common Flowmaster rumble and drone. Skip the x pipe if you are looking for a gain from it. In my opinion loud = more hp (less restrictive). On a stock car you will not see advertised gains if they claim more than 10hp.
