I took at picture of it and placed it in "uncategorized Corvette stuff" as Sensor coffin for C6.... image pending review.....

Got a new personal best! I've officially beat the time of my old vette!

Cecil County Dragway 10/05/2011 @ 9:52 PM
Temp was 56 degrees at the time of the run

2010 Corvette A6 - Base Model
Airaid Intake
Ported Intake Manifold
Heads Milled, Valve Job, no porting
Smaller Cam than the old car to go with the stock converter
Kooks Headers, no cats
NPP Exhaust
Drag Radials

60' ...... 1.781
330 ..... 4.801
1/8 ...... 7.233
MPH .. 102.63
1000 ... 9.320
1/4 ...... 11.065
MPH ... 129.67

I'm hoping to be replacing this run with 10s once 40 degree weather comes in. And maybe see a 10.7 or better with 3.15 gears and electric water pump. And possibly even better with new injectors and E85! I'm trying to do this all on the stock converter.

The next year build will be a turbo system and a built tranny I think - if I have the money to manifest and fabricate all that haha. I'm debating about a 2800-3200 stall for that build too.

there is definitely a 1.44 60' maybe even a 1.43. that pass was the first time I launched more than 2500. I wasnt able to log it because my laptop had died a few minutes before. There might be a 10.78 or 10.79 in that thing yet..... Still wish it would run out the back door like everyone elses. The fastest car on the list with MPH close to mine runs about 11.19... I would love to trap 126ish. Im not sure what a ported l76 intake might gain me at the back.

2007 A6 vert

Eforce 599 kit
NPP exhaust
160 stat
3.42 gears
High flow cats
19 inch MT drag radials
Tuned
Completely stock other than listed mods.

541 rwph 550 lbs tq.

This track is not known to be very good and there seems to be no prep to speak of.
Run made with 25lbs in rear tires, short burnout, launched in drive off about 800 rpm. Eased into gas as I get considerable wheelspin.

Icar___ Name of the Track
Oct 7, 2011 about 50 degrees___ Date of the pass & weather conditions
60'.............1.831
330'...........5.001
660'...........7.540
660’ mph....96.77

I made 3 runs and the other 2 were both 11.7s.
I am new to racing and would like any advice as to how to better these times although I am pleased with them for my first time out. From looking at slips on this forum i see that most with trap speeds similar to mine get better ET's. Reasons ??

Thanks

Some advice..... GET DOWN HER AND PUT THE HEADERS ON!

You've modified your exhaust and I'm sure the tune needs some help...

#2... The tune you've got is my street driving tune.... If MPH and track times

are what you're after, I'd like to make some changes to the TRANS tune...

NICE TIMES by the way....

Call us when you're ready!

Thanks Chuck,

I dont think I will make it back there this season. Next year maybe we go the next step. I have only been to the track a few times and I am only doing it for fun. I am still more interested in having a fun street car (which I do) than turning it into a track junkie.

Cya soon

Somewhere along the line you made a wrong turn and wound up on a C6 forum.

I decided to go back to the track after getting the clearance I could run again. Meanwhile, I also bought a drag pack to help get some traction since I have been fighting for traction with 19" NT05R tires big time at my power level. I made 3 passes with the new setup and dipped into 9's with a 1.49 60' before something catastrophic happened. That 9 second pass maybe a bit controversial so I am not going to post it up as yet.

I am posting the time slip of my first (and the slowest) pass. So for right now consider this my new PB and update the list please.

1. Your entire profile completed:

Yes

2. A copy of your entire time slip posted to the thread with date & track info:

Yes

3. The complete the details of your pass using this template in your post:

Yes

4. Year Corvette:

2005 LS2

5. Type of Trans:

A4

6. Type of Suspension:

Z51 springs and sway bars Pfadt adjustable shocks

7. Stock Performance options:

Z51

8. Tires utilized:

345/35/18 M&H Race Masters rear and 155/50/18 skinnies upfront on sleeper CCW Drag Pack 18X13 rear and 18X5 front.

9. Modifications:

Stock 40k miles LS2 (heads, cam and bottom end)
TTiX Twin Turbo Kit
Eboost Street Boost Controller with dual solenoids (16.2 lbs of boost in kill mode)
ECS dual nozzle alky kit
Z06 fuel pump with KB BAP and Racetronics harness
RPM Level VII transmission
3200 single disk stall converter
RPM built Z06 3.42 differential
C5 rear axles

10. Dyno numbers:

Do not have current dyno numbers.

11. As much info you may want to add about the run, launch techniques, tire air pressure & etc:

Made 3 passes. 1 with 25 psi, 1 with 20 psi and 1 with 16 psi air in rear tires. Best 60' was 1.490 with 16 psi and worst was 1.803 with 25 psi.

1 @ 10.227 @ 143.70

12. Typed in the post (as some time slips get deleted & etc after being posted)

that 1.43 60' was a 3000 rpm launch. I tried a 3800 launch and it blew the tires off. I thought I was gonna be picking up diff parts off the track...lol
Dennis I was talking to Subfloor and he thinks it might be track timing issues too. I guess its not impossible but Im running at IRP. we just had the us nationals here a month ago. Not sure how far off you could set timing pods or exactly how they are calibrated. This is the only car that I have ever owned that did not have big steam thru the traps here at Indy. I ran in my older cars: 10.11@133 9.18@151 8.90@167

Im going to make a post in tech section about this cuz this is probably not the right thread..lol
