Thank you... one qualification is "with my car." While I did take the Hawley class... I did not do well. Great instruction, horrible student. I think you said it best Tommy which is that practice and drag strip time make all the difference! Thanks again for your help and regardless it was a really good time. This track is known for low trap speed, on two other tracks I managed to run well over 124, on two runs over 125 MPH on street tires. My best on street tires is 11.75@125,4. There's one race left in the Hungarian championship, I already won the street category, a friend of mine with a Z06 the professional category.

For next year some minor changes are planned. This was my 20th run on DRs, so with more practice and those changes I'm hoping to see low 11s maybe high 10s.

Nice run! If you want to shave off a tenth or more, find some skinny front tires, take out your passenger seat, run on 1/4 tank of fuel or less, lose some weight . Lightening the car works really well for reducing ET.

Thanks! I'm working on it, skinnies are hopefully on their way, for the next race I'll remove the passenger seat and this time the tank was 1/2 and the windshield washer was full as well. I don't plan any big modification to the engine, but the L92 heads are still untouched and maybe have them ported would help a little. I don't know beacuse of the small cam I have.

Haha, I know right? I actually had another timeslip that was a 12.01 but didn't scan it. 12.08 is close enough I suppose. It was still 80* out and either 1)the Toyo TQ drag radials are crap, 2)I can't launch, or 3) Track prep was bad--perhaps it's a combo of all 3 because the very best 60' I can get is a 1.85. I thought for sure I'd hit a 1.7. I need to look at the videos of the runs and see what I did wrong.

But hey, for an intake and headers with no tune, it seems to be running half-decent

Intake/headers and no tune with a 1.85 60' isn't bad at all.

Once you get it tuned you'll be making better low-end power and it'll help drop the 60' a bit.

Hm, well that's encouraging, thanks! I had 2 really good launches at ~4500 with no spin, no bog, just a good hook and go--it felt really good, but I wasn't able to duplicate it more than once.

I did race a 2010 Audi R8 but lost by about .2. I was so nervous/excited at the start I just spun all the way through the 60'. Normally I disregard the car I'm lined up against but this guy pulled me aside in the pits and asked if I wanted to run him. It was a lot of fun. I'll post up the videos in a separate thread later on.

Dude 12.065 seems mad good. I have the same mods and ran a 11.8. It was my first time at the track with stock tires 32psi. And no one said I could pull around the water puddle if I wasn't gonna burnout. But too the point, were you running stock rims sizes? Or a smaller 18or17 rear rim?
