Default COW Tune

I just got my mail order tune back and installed. Very impressed with the results. Car was dyno tuned with the wide band by a forum tuner who shall remain nameless. Wasn't impressed with the results. 1/10th of a horsepower increase and 3 foot pounds of torque increase. TM was removed, he had got the AFR to 12.8, and he had improved the shifting. Told him how I was dis-appointed. When Chuck put out the special for the mail order tune I went for it. Wasn't expecting a whole lot, it was all ready tuned. There was a huge diference in the way my A-4 shifts now. With the way my car now shifts I'm not sure if their is more power but it definately feels much better. After Chucks mail order tune I almost feel bad for anyone who has taken their car to the tuner I went to. And quite a few people take their cars to this other tuner. Another satisfied customer.

Ya know, there is something I like about Chuck. I wouldn't know him if he was standing next me, but I just like the guy and respect what he has to say.

Hey Buddy! Thanks SO MUCH!

It's feedback from customers like you that make what I do so very rewarding.....

Many people make fun of my mail order tunes with no wideband and no dyno.....

Hopefully, when I come to TEXAS in 2 weeks, you can come meet me to fully polish off the tune for FREE!

While it runs GREAT NOW...Imagine if I get into it to TEST and TUNE it live!

Honestly, I leave some performance on the table cause I always keep em extra safe through the mail....but...

My MAIL ORDER TUNES are NO JOKE!

Thanks for the compliments!

Got my mail order tune back and installed Sunday. Highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get it done to use CoW. Car feels smoother thru shifts and no burbles or popping during decceleration. Seat of the pants driving the car pulls stronger than ever thru all gears. Love the new feel and can't wait for Chuck's hands on tune to release the beast. Very, very pleased. Thanks Chuck!
Still working on getting the numbers in eastern N.C. to get you here in person. If anyone in eastern North Carolina is interested in a great tune sometime in March let me know.

You remove the ECU, and BCU if it's an 05 auto, and mail it to him Express mail which will get there overnight if mailed early enough. He'll tune your ECU on his bench and then mail it back to you. You install the ECU back in your car and you are done. Very nice improvement.
You can go to his web site for pricing. Around $375-$400 is the normal fee.

So do you have any measure to show factual gain with the tune over the previous tune?

1/8th or 1/4 mile numbers?

Or does it just feel like the transmission shifts different?

Transmission is without a doubt better. Shifts harder, quicker, and at a slightly higher RPM than previous tune. Power and Torque is harder to tell. It feels like more power, but could well be the way it drives now. I don't drag race my car. Definately is what I was looking for when I drove my car 8 hours each way to the tuner in August. Comparing a dyno tune to CoW's mail order tune, CoW wins hands down.

Chuck, do you offer a re-tune option? I've got LG Pro headers and a 160deg t-stat going in this winter, and I'll need a tune. Next winter I will install a FAST, and will need a re-tune.
