I have the normal borla or touring style on my mustang. without cats it sounds awesome. tad bit of drone but nothing crazy.

I am not sure though with the cats in there. I know without cats IMO it is the muffler to have. sounds great when you on it but not too much.

I am ordering and 08 vette right now and I am trying to decide which one to order for that as well.

I think the touring will make you happy if you not the loud is better type me. if the volume level of the slp power flow with the borla tone is about what you end up with.

I got the GM Performance Exhaust Off-Road (same as Borla Stinger) with 1 7/8 Kooks 3" (C6 Z06) and they have a awsome sound but some drone.
I dont mind the drone but hey, if I had to do it again I will probably will go with touring borlas(GM Performance Exhaust Touring) but, I am having too much fun with them.

Pretty old thread but it fits what I need... With the Kooks headers and Borla Stinger, do they fit hand in hand on a C6 Z06 (2007). Is there any cutting that needs to be done to make the pipes fit? I have heard that using an aftermarket X pipe, some of the piping needs to be cut so that it all fits together. But I have recently been told that that is incorrect and keeping the stock H pipe is when you have to start cutting pipes to fit, which would mean that I need to purchase the X pipe with the headers and exhaust. If someone could provide some insight, that would be fantastic.

I don't have Kooks, I have Dynatech Longtubes with high-flow cats and Borla stingers. I love the sound. Car has LS3
