Default 2008 LS3 broken remote - Does new remote need reprogramming?

I broke one of the black keyless remotes for 2008 LS3 coupe. The key itself is not broken just the remote where the key is inserted in. Does anyone know where to get replacement and does it need reprogramming especially bringing in the car to service to do that?

Please advise.

Highly Appreciated

Same thing happened to mine. Did you pull the key out without pressing the little tab?

I got a dealer to warranty mine - you might trying to ger yours replaced under warranty too.

Yes - programming is required.

Yep that is exactly what I did, DAAAHHHHHHH! I was trying to get away without programming because the dealer here keeps the car for 1 day for the 15m job!

I'll try to get it first either through warranty or by paying for it and keep it until the next service is due for programming.

Thanks for the tip and help.
