Now that Ive done all the good mods without going into the Engine i
guess as far as boltons is concerned Im at the end. The one single
mod I saved for last and looking foreward to is the addition of 4.10
Gears. I cant help but to wonder if it would be too much in the respect that in First and Second gear I spin all over the place with runflats. I
plan on tracking it next week at cecil county dragways to see what I can turn with the 3.42's still in. Would appreciate some commentary from those who have a bolton car or near bolton car ( LS2 ) running
the FAST w 4.10 gears.
If you want to meet me somewhere this week, Id be happy to let you drive mine to see for yourself.
Hey, Thanks for the offer Craig. I just might take you up on that.
Im really a 30 - 100 guy and my trip to the drag strip will
not be a max effort ocassion. I just want to see if I can run in the 11's @ 120 - 124 mph. Im making around the same power as dennis
so perhaps the mph would be close to his but no 10's.
My pleasure....maybe we can get Dennis, Marc, Guy (and who ever else wants to) and meet up in NJ somewhere. Forget calcs, conjecture and consideration...the BEST way is to know if you will ilke them is to drive it and see what it feels like to YOU, since the whole idea is to make the car perform the way YOU want it to.

Count me in! I'm thinking about a trip to cecil county too before I go with 4.10's but NJ isn't that far.

Its about 1 hour for me to cecil. Ill ask several CF members if they would meet at CECIL even if they dont want to track them it would be a nice get together. Ill bring food.
That information is not even close to correct, I guess you've never been in a c6 with them....in any event, the OP is talking about performance, not MPG, so let's not go off topic and get the thread locked. But FYI...06 C6 with 4.10s

What the title of his thread is, it proclaims: "Its Time For The 4.10 Gears"......
I'm just asking here: "Are you sure, with these gasoline prices being what they are, and headed even higher?"
I think thats still on topic.
It is, I was referring to this:

Believe it or not Ricky, if I drive normally, meaning staying within traffic laws...throwing in some stop and go, some short trips and a few 10 mile highway cruises, Im at about 22 mpg. What I find best about the traffic thing is, with the 4.10s, I can just let out the clutch and she'll creep along in traffic at idle....could never do that with the 3.42s. I do have the F55...which I guess is more of a direct compare to a Z-51 with 3.90s, but the mileage and feel is surprising. My highway run to Carlisle which was at a constant 75-90 with a few construction slow downs was 28.6 MPG by actual calc, not the computer. If I am really hammering it around town, the worst Ive seen yet is 17-18 MPG.
I will sadly admit it....I own a Hyundai as my daily driver :o and the Vette with Vararam, FAST, LG LTs, 4.10s and tune gets MUCH better mileage.
