Hawk HP Plus Pads - Noise Control

I have read a gazillion posts on various web sites about the high level of noise that the Hawk HP Plus pads make, e.g. "like a pig caught on a gate", "very annoying", etc. The simplest cure for this is to spray the back of the pads with CRC's Brake Quiet before mounting them. I have them in the Missile and they are as quiet as the factory pads. Has worked for me every time...

My Hawk Plus pads make no noise with my Z51 sized DBA slotted rotors, great combo, more dust though. Street and lapping use.

I use them on my Z51 OEM rotors, they do make alot of noise. However, a good day at the track quiets them down till I wash my car (noise comes back).
