Ready to go with some LTs on my 08 manual/z51/npp.

I noticed within this thread that the Kook headers are made in the USA. Are any of the other manufacturers made in the US?

I was in the same boat, I havent decided yet, still doing my research, so this is a good thread for me, after reading ARH seem to be best of both worlds, with great results and a great price.

Wow 500rwhp just with headers??

We use Kooks. We also install in house and we have not had issue with installs or any fitment issues, at least not with the Kooks.

as far as price call them. make them match kooks price.
Where did you read these fitment issues on the Kooks LT headers? I have never read any and the Kooks were very easy to install and I had NO fitment issues at all.

There are no fitment issues with Kooks. I have had them on several of my own C6's and sold hundreds of sets...and never had a complaint.

This is a pretty interesting poll. I would be interested to see what just the customer results would be...to show satisfaction with the product. Even though I voted myself...along with every other vendor/manufactuer..we also tend to be very partial for a variety of reasons and it obviously will have an effect on the results.

Sorry in advance to all the fanboys who are surely not going to like my two cents.

Interesting that Tj Wong was mentioned. I had him pull up every header install on a stock C6 he had and compared them to the runs I made with my AR pieces. LG, Kooks, you name it. All of them fell into a fairly small spread and there was no standout. My car made more power and torque than some lg's, less than others. Same with Kooks, dynatech.... Personally I knew that before I bought my headers but its always good to see how your measuring up real world and since it was Toms first set of AR headers he was willing to take the time to do some comparing. While not the same car all were stock C6s and all run on the same dyno by the same dyno operator and there were many runs as Tom is a busy man.

So why did I pick the AR pieces? Simple really, I knew the difference between the top manufacturers wasn't worth spit and those were the cheapest top shelf headers available at the time. Had there been a better sale on one of the other brands I would now have them.

George is also great at kooks if you need cutome stuff. I had the first set of 2" LS1 headers. he made them for my car after pump gas drags. i called him up asked if he could do a 2" with 3.5 collector and he called me back 2 weeks later asking for my address. No other header company has that customer service!!! He aslo is having me bring the shop car up this winter for a custome set of 2-2 1/8 on a 4" collector. .
