08 C6 LS3 STOCK Vs American Racing Longtubes/MagnaFlow Catback
Well time FINALLY allowed us to get our shop C6 on a rack to install Phase I of a lengthy list of mods...
Step I- Baseline C6
Step II- Install American Racing 1 7/8 Longtubes/3x3 Catted X pipe/MagnaFlow Catback
Step III- Back on the dyno to see the gains......
Step IV Tune for Optimal performance
Results are below. Remember EVERYTHING else is 100% stock with the exception of the exhaust
The next Phase of mods includes the installation of a VaraRam Induction and then back on the dyno to see the gains with the VaraRam. Any tweaks to the tune will be performed at this point as well.
After that, we are going inside the motor... Getting a set of fully worked LS3 heads from TEA and running our Stage III camshaft/Pulley/thermostat...
I will keep everyone updated on the process step by step.
Thanx to Nick @ American Racing for a QUALITY Header System for our C6!!!
UPDATE!!!!
We finally got the VaraRam system on yesterday. VERY nice fitment and straight forward install for those of you who havent installed one yet....
Unfortunately the dyno did not reflect much of a change in #s @ WOT, but while datalogging we did notice an obvious change in MAP readings.. I am confident once we put this C6 on the street the Vararam will do its job.
Graph below:
Please see above guys... Every mod includes tuning to optimize the combo.

Vararam just got installed guys. We are heading back over to the dyno for A/B comparison and tuning. Ill have results posted ASAP!!!!
Feel free to subscribe to this thread as I will document every gain/loss with the addition of every part we install. I think it will clear the air on a few things
