I am new to the corvette crew . This is my first vette and the mod bug already hit me. "i owned a mustang before this so I know the mod bug". Anyways the problem i had with the mustang is it wasent street legal and the exhaust was annoying. Im looking for suggestions to try to keep as much of the stock feel to the car. I want a nice rumble to the exhaust so I was thinking mabe getting a Cam and mabe some exhaust but keep the stock headers/ cats. I want people to know I have a cam but not where it to be annoying as hell to sit in the car.
Any suggestions?
Its a 2005 Ls2
Congratulations on your new ride. What I always recommend is that you ride in a similar car equipped with the exhaust system that you are looking at. There is absolutely no possible way that you can tell what the exhaust will sound like and feel like without experiencing it first hand. Save yourself an expensive mistake in choosing an exhaust. Ask me how I know. Let your ears do the deciding.

I finally wound up with 4" round tip Borlas. The wild card here is that I have longtube headers with highflow cats.
This usuallly makes any system louder and deeper. Loud and deep is based on your ears and butt only. Yes! you can feel it in your butt. This set-up still drones but not too bad with my tuned A-6 tranny but I can simply shift to a lower gear if it gets too annoying.
