Blue and I are good friends..We did a muffler swap when he found out the 3"x pipe is shorter than a standard C6.. I had set of Z06mufflers, uncut, that I was about to put on. So I met him at a muffler shop and we swapped since his was set up for a C6. BUT I did put a high performance polish on those tips., so I think that is where the gain came from..
Yes I wiped the tips off and gained about 10! Ready for your free A&A install?
Buy the kit and bring it over!
65rwhp and 77rwtq on just a header and x-pipe swap? I had a similar experience with a mustang with shorty headers. Switched to long tubes and gained quite a bit,my motor was choked up big time with the shorties.
Rock man had long tubes to begin with, if there is this much gain just by switching to 1 7/8's why hasn't anyone else picked up on this, including some big time tuners here..
Not to stir the pot rock man, I am just curious as to how you can gained so much?
Nick at ARH who makes I assume the same money on either size
sees really nice gains. Charlie at RPM and some other good ones have been saying 1 7/8's on the ls-3. Plus I changed the whole set-up and helped out
the intake plumbing!
I will clean them before the dyno day, just in case
Some chocolate on the outside and carmels and peanuts inside the toe, Makes a real chewy
homemade snicker! Maybe will find out the big change was the x-pipe?
Then you won't need to eat it! How about a third of my gain?
AND i'll buy the carmals and peanuts
lets see 21.6 hp and 26 tq you might make that, but half ???????????
Lets hope your safe and don't make 32.5 and 37 or you might new to the dentist
Your numbers to start with were great! If I had those I'd still have the same header. the lower numbers pushed me WHY?
Damn thats a nice jump! Nice. What kits are you guys using for 700rwhp+?
The one that comes with the forged block! With my 578 Mustang dyno with gears. Would be around guessing 620 on a regular Dyno Jet
with-out gears so thats about 750 or more crank. hp about the limit. I'm willing to go. As the 578 with 530 rwtq feels like a monster with the 390's.
