hi i have a 2008 z06 and i was going about 157mph and then i slowed down and stopped and then proceeded to take off and i was going about 20 in first gear and i hit the gas and a big puff of black smoke came out it looked like a diesel truck took off behind me the puff was wider then the car i thinking maybe it was running rich and the computer is still learning how i drive... and the car only has 1000 miles on it... also if i have a passenger in the car and they try to role down the window they can't but i can... thanks for any help
Problem 1) Sounds like your oil is low or you burned some... If you had too much, it would typically be white/gray.
Problem 2) Check your window lock button, more than likely you have pressed the button so their window button does not work.

problem 1 - Seems to be a nut loose behind the wheel
problem 2 - Also seems to be a nut loose behind the passenger air bag.
..."about" 157 mph? Were you also texting at the time? Does that account for your poor punctuation, word usage and sentence structure?
Anyway, 157 and 1000 miles sounds like borderline abuse. I wouldn't worry about the car... for long.
Everyone always talks about driving your car easy until XXXX miles are put on it. Do people really think that GM doesnt redline your cars engine during testing before they are ever delivered? Maybe Im wrong, but, I am sure the engine gets plenty of gas pedal to them before you get the car.
First off, what is the purpose of "redlining" the engine on every new car before delivery?
Second, there are indeed ways to safely "beat" your car before XX miles, but the mileage restricition is a safe, conservative approach that works for everyone. Does anyone here think that the OP appears to have the sense to know how to properly break in a car?

Blue smoke is oil in combustion chamber. White/grey smoke is water in combustion chamber. Black is usually build up of carbon/deposits in combustion chamber that'll burn off *** you get on it hard - not after.
If you ran it up hard, then slowed down gearing down at high rpm it could simply have been some oil sucked in and consequently burnt off .. no biggie.
If it's running fine now with no symptons, leave it be.
Drive responsibily so we don't hear someone else posting how your latest drive went.

Any ways i will explain myself better i live near a long straight road its about 2 miles long. Safe enough for a nice fast trip plus these engines are already broken in at the factory the only thing that needs to be worn in is the transmission. So i slowly got up to 157 and then slowly went back to zero with out shifting down gears i just left the clutch in. Then after safely warming the engine up i wanted to play so i took off from the stop sign and that's when i saw the black smoke. Also I check my oil level before i take the car out and the oil is fine it's right at the third spot on the dip stick.
P.S. I don't know why people have to ridicule people about things they do when you don't know whats going on

This is why i hate going on forums because they are no help and every one has to criticize any little thing. If you don't want to be any help then just go to the new thread. and simplyphp thanks for trying to help, But if i knew were the window unlock button was do you think i would ask?
First I'm one of the many people on this forum that doesn't know that much about cars and am enjoying learning. There have been many great replies to the posts here on the forum. The generous and knowledgeable people here do us all a service with their time and expertise, and are greatly appreciated. But, to be here on the forum a thick skin is an asset. There are numerous responders believing that to put down the next guy builds them up. Perhaps they will eventually find a forum more suitable to their needs. The Jerry Springer shows comes to mind.

You come to a public forum and for some reason seem to upset because we post derogatory statements about your road manners. This may be due to the fact that you are driving at 157+ mph on the same streets that we or our family members may be driving on, putting someone elses life in your hands. Seriously, what do you expect?

I'm all about the 157 speeds (see avatar). But unless you can state that it was done on a closed or private road, I'm not inclined to further "enable" you.
To the OP and any others who think the various responses in this thread were overly harsh or out of line - This medium of communication requires writing skills to properly articulate your thoughts. Fair or not, if you can't string together a halfway coherent sentence, many readers will assume you are an idiot. And no, this isn't English class, but it is important to recognize your audience; the demographics of THIS forum are going to be older, more affluent and better educated than say, the various ricer forums. Perhaps in the ricer forums you will be better understood where, thanks to texting, people are more used to butchering the written word. I think most of us in this forum aren't there yet, so if you want to effectively communicate with us, you need to conform to "our normal". I think that reading through this forum you will agree that the very large majority are willing to help with even the most basic questions, but the reality is, you have to be able to ask the "right" way.
To the OP - I apologize if you are not the 17 year old, sideways-baseball cap wearing, irresponsible kid driving around in your daddy-purchased Z06 that your first post seems to indicate. However, I hope it does show that the written word is powerful, and can work for and against you.

I just noticed the complete lack of punctuation in his post...
