I went through the Options programing the other day and everything seemd fine. Now 2 weeks later when I try to change the options I get the "Options Unavailable" message. What causes that message? How to I fix it?

You've got the wrong fob. Options are only available when the car is turned on using fob 1 or 2. Any fob programmed as 3 or 4 will not allow access to the options menu.
Please be patient with me here as I'm new to my C6 and vettes alltogether, but I had that problem and here is what I did...
I got my car with only a #1 FOB. I found someone on the forum who had FOBs and bought a #2. I followed the procedure to program it and it didn't work properly until I put the #1 FOB on the console while doing that 5 key turn process. (Note that the car thinks the new FOB is number 3 in the DIC...not sure what that means...but I do know you can only have 4 FOBs per car..at least that is what is says in the manual). After doing that the car started but would not allow me to program...until I pushed the #2 button on the driver door. So, after the link process, then starting the car, then pushing the #2 button on the driver door, I could program all of the goodies.
Sure hope that helps. So many other have been so helpful to me...just trying to repay the favors.
