I just came back from the time of my life...driving school with CGI in South Haven, MI. I ran 20min sessions 3x in am and 4x in pm (total of 2.3 hrs of hardcore driving. It apparently was hard on the new 09 vette Z51. No problems at the track...brakes...tires..were great..but now when driving home the car has all kinds of rattles over any kind on bumps..it is not anything on the outside but it is on the inside from the console etc.....I guess the car just got loosened up with all that flatout punishing driving and I will have to live with it. Anyone one else have the same experence?
I have developed some suspension type noises that I think are the sway bar end links. I understand from researching here that they wear quickly and cause clunking noises.

Thanks for the input...I think your dead on. When I rock the car back and forth and hit rough spots on the road they appear....I'm upgrading suspension anyway..thanks for the responce.
The toe links on the rear of Z51 cars have grease fittings. The hard drive may have used up the grease that was there. You may want to hit the zerks with some grease and see if that doesn't help.

Thanks for the info.....I will grease them soon..but the rattling is from the front end not from the rear. I wonder if the brakes/pads/rotors are the problem? vs suspension
I don't think the stock brakes would make any rattling noises. I have taken pads down to the backplate - the will make a scraping sound if you do that but no rattle. Check the pad thickness anyway, you could use them up in that much track time. No need to remove the wheel for a quick check. Just shine a flashlight on the caliper and you can see the outer pad thickness.
