On my 07 coupe, the driver seat belt once in place will not budge. All my other cars allow the driver to lean forward as long as there is no heavy braking going on. The passanger side seat belt allows the passenger to lean forward while driving. Is this normal or do I have a problem? It gets annoying at certain intersections not being able to lean forward to see around the blind spot.
Does not sound normal. The C6 has dual mode retractors. Unless you put the retractor into the locking mode (see owners manual) it should not lock unless there is some lateral or longitudinal G force, or if it unspools quickly.
I use the OE seat belts on the track. Before a session I pull the seat belt all the way out, and at the very end of travel it activates the "ratchet" mode where it locks the seat belt down when it retracts back in and it holds me in the seat pretty well.
It sounds like that is what yours is doing all the time, and that's not correct. Your driver side belt should work the same as your passenger side.
