I'm sure you all have seen this before......but I am hardly a newbie when it comes to modifications and wandering around various forums so I'll be as specific as possible wherever I can.
I just purchased a 2008 Z06 and want to know where is the best place to start modifying it ? Some seem to thing that a Corsa exhaust and Lingenfelter CAI are the way to go.......any thoughts on this ? I am definitely not in the canned tuner market.....I use EFI live to tune my 2008 Duramax and have already begun toying with the Vette....specifically the stupid skip shift stuff.
Ultimately I'd like the Z06 to hang with my truck......truck runs 11.80 at 50 psi boost pressure with....ehm....quite a bit left on the table.
Search for Rangers thread on 500 and something 1/4 mile runs. Fastest is 06 Z06 Stock with 18" Drag radials high 10.s after that no runs till 4 pt installed.

IMO So I would say drag radials
Thanks for the heads up......usually the direct approach get's you the necessary lead to follow up on.
Was hoping to keep the car as a daily ride for right now......course I said that about the truck too
The bone stock top 20 average on the Z06 fast list is 11.47. All you need is some practice and good weather/track...Congrats on the Z..
Thanks.....my father just flew out to pick up his ZR-1 in Indy so I found myself the proud owner of his Z06 with just 1800 miles on it. Trying for the "how quickly can you mod your car" award.
