Default Grand Sport Sway Bar Diameters

There has been some chatter lately about the size of the new grand sport sway bars. Rumor has it they are of an even larger diameter than the Z06 and T1 sways bars. At around $200 for a pair this may end up being the best option for many folks looking to upgrade.

Can somebody with access to the Grand Sport sway bars measure their diameter and reply, as I know several people are looking for the final word on this matter.

Thanks in advance.

I have some on the way, I will post of the mic'd measurements when I receive them. The seller said they were 48 mm front and 30 mm rear.

Wow, if they are indeed that large, those are some big bars. Certainly a better deal than the ridiculously overpriced T1 setup.

I'm sure you could have someone bend up some 2 1/2 solid bar, just imagine! how much better that would be than ANYTHING out there!

Not sure why I don't see any info about the Eibach bars in here. I bought them and they are 32mm for the front and 29mm for the rear. Plus the rear is adjustable.

I think if you read between the lines he's saying that bigger doesn't always make it better .......

when it comes to sway bars.

Looking on a good deal on the Eibach setup. I like that brand and the diameters are larger.

My woman says "bigger is always better" so that is my philosophy. :+)

I understand, but I'm also asking for specs on what is an OEM part.

Just wasn't appreciated that's all.

ur comment although funny, doesnt pertain to the engineers at Chevrolet making a car that handles and performs almost as good as a Z06... if the bars are not the same, GM figured something out.

I have some on the way, I will measure them when I receive them. If they are Z06 bars, then so be it, I still paid less for them than the Z06 bars sell for.

Unless there was something different in production the catalog does not list any different sway bars for the Grand Sport.
