Default Ryan's Modding Adventure!

Kind of a corny title... But I wanted to document my intro to modding with dyno sheets and video an share it with everyone! I have a 2005 C6 Manual trans, with NO mods (a of now)...

After giving careful consideration to budget, drivabiluty, reliability, and much research... I have opted to start modding my '05 vette! I will be posting before an after pics, video and specs!

First if the mods with be as follows:

- LG G5X2 Cam (114 LSA) package, inclusive of: dual spring with titanium retainers, hardened push rods, fel pro gaskets, etc
- LG street series headers
- K&N Cold air intake
- 160 Thermo
- Dyno tuning

Thank you to Joe who pointed me in the direction to HP Sales in Pompano. They have been EXTREMELY helpful! After listening to multiple types of cams they helped me in my current decision! The above mods will take place mid-next week. The "before" pics and video will be uploaded in a day or two...

Mods to come are:
- FAST Intake Manifold
- 3.9 gear swap
- possibly performance heads.. But my sure on that yet...

If you all are interested, feel free to chime in and follow along!

Take care...

That's pretty much my plan exactly. I already have a Vararam, Kooks headers and X, Corsa and a tune. May I suggest an MGW shifter.... hopefully I have one under the tree. Cam and Fast in March. I think that will be all I need. Its already very fun on the street. J Formato did my tune and will be doing my FAST, TB, and Tune. He never fails to impress me.

Awesome! I havent looked much into the shifter... though i can imagine it can be an improvement! I'll have to look into that!

I plan on submitting the pics/vids/stats as soon as i get them. In case anyone wasnt aware... here are pics of my vette (stock)... The video will follow...

My only advice would be take your time and enjoy each mod as you go. You have a ton of experienced guys here and make sure you use that search function a lot. I was in your shoes not so long ago and have nothing but good memories so far, despite a few hiccups along the way.
