Default **462 rwhp Cam only M6 LS3/G6X3 LG Cam Package, 502RWHP with Super Pro's!**

Hi guys,

Thought you might find this interesting. A customer is returning his car to stock for a Z06, most of the items have been removed but for a comparison we wanted to run it with the factory LS7 exhaust and G6X3 cam only. 463 rwhp from only a G6X3 cam kit and LS7 factory exhaust!

For those not wanting headers, something to think about, but you still would be giving up a bit of power.

*The car did make 502 rwhp with LG Super Pro headers, LG GT4 and CAI before (shown below)

462 RWHP
  • LG G6X3 cam kit
  • LS7 manifolds and cats
  • LS7 H pipe
  • LS7 Mufflers *modified*
  • Underdrive pulley
  • LG Professional install and dyno tune

502RWHP
  • LG Super Pro 1 7/8" headers
  • LG GT4 catback
  • LG G6X3 cam kit
  • Cold Air intake
  • Underdrive pulley
  • LG Professional install and dyno tune

I have a stock 2008 C6 M6, This 500rwhp set-up is EXACTLY what I'm after!

I live all the way in Maryland, can't find any Corvette specialists out here. I wouldn't trust just any random shop to tune a set-up like this. I need to get my car to you guys!

Very excited!

On this car, I did not run it down that low. Car was more used for drag than street.

Am I not reading that you added both a CAI and headers at the same time. If so you really don't know what just headers are worth vs. the Z06 manifolds/cats. I would think the factory Z06 cats are more restrictive than high flow cats. Wonder how the Z06 manifolds would compare to headers running though high flow cats?

I can tell you that between the high flow cats and no cats on a 500 rwhp engine I have seen 3-5 rwhp difference between the two. I am not sure between manifolds with cats and without cats, that test I have not done.

The purpose of this was to simply see what a STOCK Z06 exhaust and CAM KIT ONLY with a tune would do in terms of power on an LS3.

its not often that you are allowed these opportunities to see what makes what power so we thought we would share

I understand Louis and appreciate the good info. Would be interesting though to see what your cam would do with the Z06 manifolds and a CAI. That's my set up right now on my 08 LS3.

Might be funny to some...but looking at power runs means nothing without looking at all the variables.

Thanks
