I don't but have an 07' Z51 & an 10' SS RS Camaro, there is no comparison. Camaro very heavy feeling was the first thing I noticed. Camaro way slower even when my vette was stock.

I have seen one article recently that had a comparison between a C6 and a new Camaro. I just went thru all my old mags and could not find it. There was no chart or table but it focused on the differences between the two rather then a true comparison.

Not stuck on anything. I own a C6Z51 that I would never trade in for a camaro... just wanted to compare the performance without doing the research.

I rented a camaro for a week. I could not compare the power since they didnt have an SS to rent, HOWEVER, the interior was depressing as compared to a vette. I missed my vette's carbon fiber center console and gauge bezel bigtime. If you own a late model vette, you will not like the camaro's interior.

I will give you another meaningless data point thay may or may not give you some comparison. I have a G8 GT which is built on the same platform (Zeta) as the new Camaro. It pretty much has the same drivetrain except the G8 GT only get a 6.0L engine rated at 365 hp instead of the 6.2L in the Camaro. It also is 4dr and weighs a little more. My G8 has a CAI, headers (stock muflers), and a tune. It put down 355 rwhp which is about ~20 rwhp more than what stock AT Camaros put down. I was at a private drag rental and had a chance to run against stock LS2 AT C6. We ran 3 times and I beat him every time but it was very close. My 12.9s@110 to his 13.0s@111 and just for reference it was a +1400 ft DA day so not great weather. I did run a best of 12.8 that day and my best ever in the car has been a 12.59. From this I would say that you should still have the advantage over a stock Camaro in a straight line but it could be a drivers race from a dig. Now, an AT Camaro with the same mods a my G8 has run a best of 12.2@113 so that could give you problems but that is stock against modded.

Even though I like the Camaro's front end, the interior just isn't there, IMO. Plus the weight difference and the fact that the vette is just plain baader . . . especially my '07.

Ok I found the article. It is in Corvette Magazine, Jan 2010 issue. See article on page 42, titled Family Affair. Hope this helps those wondering....
