I also have my wife's 07 vert and my son's 08 coupe in my care so I use a lot of AMSOIL in a year. Big savings if you join AMSOIL's Preferred Customer Program for $20/yr as it allows you to buy products at dealer cost pricing. That's ~$2.25/qt savings on motor oil. Since I buy 2-3 cases per year, the savings really add up.

Amsoil oil is great stuff but I have found it to be not cost effective in my vette since I only usually drive 6-8 thousand miles/year. I switched to Mobil 1 0w30 for half the price($23.50 at Walmart for 5qt jug) and change it once a year. I doubt very seriously that your engine would notice any wear difference between the two even if you drove 10-12 thousand miles between changes.

Used the AMSOIL Signature Series Synthetic 0w30 (Product Code SSOQT) in my 06 CTS-V (LS2 engine) daily driver for a few years before I recently sold it (still looking for a replacement).
Wear numbers were good on the engine:
Cadillac CTS-V Used Oil Analysis - AMSOIL Signature Series 0w30
June 07 sample was Mobil 1, the rest AMSOIL 0w30.
