The LSX block is probably not necessary. I would have to talk to you a little more about budget and goals to know exactly what to recommend for you. Crate LS7 is a fine choice, but we can meet and easily exceed that power level for thousands of dollars less with a custom build.
Heck, we can exceed that power goal with bolt-ons and a nice heads/cam setup
