CD Mech Error...CD's won't play or eject
I did post on this topic in the general discussion, but perhaps I should have done the post here. In any event, I put a CD in my 08 vert for the first time tonight and it played a few songs and then quit. The word INFO came up the screen. It wouldn't let me switch to a new track. So, I tried to eject the CD. It wouldn't eject it and then "CD Mech Error" came up on the screen. I tried to do eject the disc several times, but it never worked. I tried shutting the radio off first and that didn't work. Then I shut the car off and tried it and it didn't work. I kept getting the same error message. Anyone know what the problem could be and how to remedy it? Obviously, I know there is a mechanical error, but I'm wondering how, why, what's the fix, etc.? Thanks. Dan
